C. Richard Hainline

Mr. C. Richard Hainline, 83, of Macomb, formerly of Blandinsville, Illinois died at 2:05 A.M. Friday, April 6, 2007 at Heartland Health Care Center in Macomb.

He was born August 11, 1923 in Sciota, Illinois, the son of James and Jenny Olson Hainline. On July 16, 1947 he married Virginia Phillips in Burlington, Iowa. She preceded him in death on April 29, 1998.

Richard lived in Blandinsville for most of his life. He was a Navy veteran, having served with the Seabees. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post and the First Christian Church of Blandinsville. He drove a truck for McDonough FS for 40 years and was sexton of the Glade City and South Cemeteries in Blandinsville for many years.

He is survived by 2 sons, James Hainline and Richard and his wife, Pat, Hainline all of Blandinsville, one brother, Kenny and his wife Marilyn, Hainline of Macomb, several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, one daughter, Patricia “Cissy” Hainline, one grandson, Trent and four sisters, Florence, Marjorie, Maxine And Mabel.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM Monday, April 9, 2007 at the Glade City Cemetery in Blandinsville with Rev. Eric Gerdts officiating. The family will meet with friends Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe. A memorial fund has been established for the First Christian Church of Blandinsville.
