Edwina Hampshire

Edwina “Rusty” Hampshire, age 63 of Lomax, Illinois died at 12:03 A.M. Sunday February 18, 2007 in the Genesis East Medical Center in Davenport, Iowa. She was born July 27, 1943 in Seattle, Washington, the daughter of Clarence and Grace Jacobs Gauthier. On June 17, 1967, she married Clyde “Al” Hampshire in Cedar Rapids, IA. He preceded her in death on June 19, 2000.

Mrs Hampshire worked as a waitress and bartender for Catfish Bend Casino in Burlington and The Bear’s Den in Lomax.

Survivors include 3 daughters- Rose Marie Robinson of Guilford, CT., Tammy Johnson of Knoxville, TN., Nancy Lewis of Cartersville, VA., 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, one great great grandson, 4 sisters- Becky Denny of Olympia, WA., Sue Merrick of Lacy, WA., Mary Shultz of Sunnyside, WA., Donna North of Yelm, WA., and 3 brothers- Gregory Gauthier of Littleton, CO., Ben Gauthier of Tacoma, WA., and Lewis Saltz of Puyallup, WA.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday March 3, 2007 in the Carman Cemetery in Carman, Illinois. Friends may call from 2:00P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday March 2nd, at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Stronghurst. Send a condolence here.
